MISSIONARIES ONLY

Why "Missionaries Only"?
As we are also serving our King as missionaries here in the Philippines, we understand and relate to the fact that missionaries are not here simply because the Philippines are beautiful (and they are), or because it's interesting work for a couple of years, or because it's a wonderful place to retire (missionaries may sometimes tire, but they rarely "retire").
And they're certainly not here for the objective of making big $$$. Most, if not all, missionaries are serving sacrificially, having given up homes, familiar culture, families and money making opportunities for a much higher calling- that of service to their King.  So, our hats go off and our hearts go out to fellow missionaries, and as God enables us to be of service to them, we will do so with what He has given us.

Below is a list of services offered. Don't be shy. If there is something else- not listed, that you need assistance with, especially if it has to do with financial, legal, or business services, or shipping and other logistical challenges, please do not hesitate to ask. Chances are good that if we don't know the answer, we can find out. God allowed us to have a multi-faceted background prior to bringing us here- now perhaps He wants to use it to bless some of His other children.

Tax Assistance- (Expat tax returns are complex, and many different things must be considered.  For the self-employed or personal services expat, it's even more complex, as special rules apply for profit and loss and self-employment taxes.  Although there has recently been a proliferation of "Do it yourself tax programs," we do not recommend that expats and self-employed individuals use these to prepare their own tax returns.  They're great for insuring mathematical accuracy, but not for telling you what deductions you may or may not take, or for searching out sometimes "hidden" deductions.  What you miss (or misreport) can easily cost you hundreds, or even thousands of dollars on one hand, or trigger an IRS audit on the other.  (Note: In unique situations where we need to devise and employ a specific tax strategy in order to minimize taxes or maximize returns, our fees will be based on the tax savings realized, at a rate of 15-40% of total savings.  Alternatively, a client may elect, in advance, to opt for our services based on our hourly rate for specific consulting situations.)

Assistance with visa extensions and conversions.  Our objective here is twofold:
1.) to take the hassle and frustration out of dealing with the Bureau of Immigration, and 2.) getting your processing done as quickly and as economically as possible.  Accordingly, we assist with the entire process, to include pickup and delivery of your passports and documents (Metro Manila only), applications, photos and necessary notary stamps.
In some cases, we can additionally assist with getting authentication of your non-Philippines original documents.  Even with 9(g) conversions, our goal is to complete the process, once all documents are properly submitted, within six weeks or less.  (NOTE: fees listed here include our service fees and our best estimates of facilitation and super-expediting fees, which are subject to change without notice.   They do NOT include standard Bureau of Immigration processing fees.   Also note that additional services such as procurement of SEC documents, NSO documents, preparation of credentials, and assistance with obtaining Philippines consulate authentications will be invoiced separately at the extra-discounted rate of $45 per hour.)

Note:

Through Lovingkindness Ministries and American Expat Services we are set up to take PayPal payments and donations.  Please let us know if this is preferable to you. If so, we will send you a PayPal invoice, as we are not able to set up a shopping cart with so many variables.  (We also accept cash and/or bank deposits or transfers, but have found that cash or PayPal is more convenient for the majority of our expat clients.)
